It’s a serious issue when our Idaho news media makes a unilateral decision to exclude a qualified candidate from a debate. It’s an even more serious matter when they lie about it.
Gubornatorial candidate John Bujak was excluded from the ktvb debate because he was told that he had not qualified. kate morris of ktvb told Bujak that he could not participate in the debate because he was not a qualified candidate according to the Secretary of State’s office. Morris said she called the Secretary of State’s Office three times to check on Bujak’s filings with the SOS.
Bujak, had filed the paperwork and was a qualified candidate. He should have been included in the debate.
On October 14, 2014 TVOI called the SOS office and was told that they have no record of KTVB calling their office concerning John Bujak’s qualifications to be a candidate for Governor. KTVB is the NBC affiliate in Boise, ID.
