Over 20 States refusing to take Syrian Refugees
What about Idaho and Washington?
Since the barbaric terrorist attacks in Paris, France on November 13, 2015, citizens all over the country are speaking out against Obama’s refugee program. Their Governors are listening. Within the past few hours, Governors all over America are refusing to allow the refugees into their states. As of this writing, the following states are included:
Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maine
Massachusetts
Michigan
Mississippi
Montana
New Hampshire
North Carolina
Ohio
Texas
Tennessee
Wisconsin
Notably, Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter of Idaho is not on this list. Instead Otter, while calling for the immediate halt of resettling new refugees until vetting rules can be reviewed, has asked Congress to allow states to ‘Opt Out’ of the resettlement program. He has stopped short of actually threatening to refuse Syrian refugees in Idaho. Additionally, Gov Jay Inslee of Washington has stated that the Syrian Refugees are still welcome in his state, despite his citizen’s concerns. These men need to be held accountable to their citizens. Every state representative and every state senator should be called on to publicly insist their governors halt the refugees into their states.
