“the level of scrutiny given to federal mandates that come through the administrative system” To play devil’s advocate here, I suspect this guy Davis glossed over the bill only reading the “enforcement of child support” and ignored everything else, either on purpose or out of carelessness (either of which are inexcusable in themselves). I’d bet a lot of these guys in Washington don’t have time to read the bills or that they have other things attached to them they want passed, and can’t be bothered to read the entirety of them. They jump on a popular bandwagon so they can hang it on their shingle “I fought for the rights of women and children from deadbeat dads!”

There are plenty of these Davis’s in Washington right now- some of them deliberately traitorous and maybe some of them just dumb. Our state senator Flake wants to pass a bill that is ostensibly to help veterans by providing them faster care at the VA hospitals, he wants that done by replacing costly MDs with nurses. http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/healthcare/325131-one-safe-and-simple-solution-to-more-timely-care-for-vets#bottom-story-socials
